During this Journey, ambassadors will enjoy local culture, food, and attractions including:
- Lake Robbins Ballroom โ a beautifully preserved 1929 dance hall still swinging today
- World Food Prize Hall of Laureates โ honoring global achievements in agriculture and the fight against hunger
- Iowa State Capitol Building โ crowned by a breathtaking golden dome and a one-of-a-kind Law Library
- Jordan House โ a powerful piece of American history as a stop on the Underground Railroad
- Downtown Farmer's Market โ ranked among the finest markets in the nation
- Des Moines Arts Festival โ one of the top-rated outdoor art festivals in the country
Ambassadors will also have the chance to explore the Des Moines Art Center, Pappajohn Sculpture Park, Lauridsen Skate Park, and the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden โ or venture beyond the city to the rolling hills of Madison County, the tulip-filled town of Pella, or the vibrant college community of Ames.
