Program details: 

Come experience Midwest hospitality and discover iconic Wisconsin! Milwaukee was named the “Coolest City in the Midwest” by Vogue and was listed by National Geographic as one of the best places in the world to visit.

During this Journey, ambassadors will enjoy local culture, food, and attractions including:
• Harley-Davidson Museum
• Miller Brewery
• Frank Lloyd Wright architecture
• Milwaukee Art Museum and the famous Calatrava wings
• Lake Michigan waterfront

During the journey dates, Milwaukee will also host popular summer festivals including Bastille Days, Festa Italiana, and the Dragon Boat Festival along the lakefront.

Guests will also have the chance to taste local favorites like cheese curds, custard, cranberries, kringle, and a traditional Wisconsin fish fry.

Possible Mini-Extension:
There may be an optional 3–4 day extension to Chicago (approximately July 16–19, 2026).
Friendship Force Chicago members may organize day activities and excursions; however, this portion would involve hotel stays rather than home-stays.

• No tickets required - Millennium Park (Cloud Gate, Concert Pavilion, Lurie Garden), Outdoor Public Art (Picasso, Miro),  River Promenade, Chicago Cultural Center, and Navy Pier.   
• Tickets required - Chicago Art Institute (great collection of the impressionists) and Architectural Boat Tour (viewing  towering skyscrapers and lake skyline)
