Journey #26029: Baku to Lübeck*
Join the Club from Baku, Azerbaijan during their visit to Schleswig-Holstein, the northernmost region of Germany, for Journey #26029 (May 26–June 1). There are currently 2–3 spaces available (2 singles or 1 couple and 1 single).
The program already has a general outline of activities, and additional details will be shared soon.
Costs: 150 USD FFI fee + 180 Euro program fee
Itinerary:
- Welcome meeting
- Learn about the medieval city of Lübeck during two guided city walks
- Spend a day on the beaches of the Baltic Sea and explore the maritime atmosphere of Travemünde
- Visit the nearby town of Eutin, surrounded by lakes, with a baroque castle and English landscape park
- Meet other club members at small dinner invitations
- Free time for exploring the city, shopping, and spending time with host families
- Special farewell event: cooking together using recipes from Azerbaijan
Highlights
- Discover the medieval Old Town of Lübeck with its five churches dating from the 12th century, the impressive town hall, charming cobblestone streets, and hidden courtyards during two guided city walks.
- Spend a day at the Baltic Sea in Travemünde. Kick off your shoes and dip your feet in the water while enjoying the maritime atmosphere along the promenade and in the small boutiques. Try a popular local snack: a Fischbrötchen (herring in a bun).
- Take a day trip to Eutin, a small lakeside town in the countryside. Visit the historic baroque castle and its beautiful English landscape park, and relax during a boat trip across the lake.
- Enjoy time with your hosts, explore the city on your own, go shopping, or simply relax. You will also meet other club members during small dinner invitations.
- Show your cooking skills during the farewell evening when ambassadors and hosts prepare Azerbaijani dishes together.
- Program fee: 180 Euro (estimated). Includes welcome meeting, lunches, public transportation, and entrance fees.

🚶 Please note: Participants should be comfortable walking, as the program includes significant walking and Lübeck has many cobblestone streets.
