Home hosting with the FF of Mount Barker and Districts: The Adelaide Hills are home to some of South Australia’s best food, wine and scenery. Some highlights of our time with the FF of Mt. Barker:

• Explore Hahndorf via a scavenger hunt 
• Visit Adelaide and possibly meet with Adelaide FF Club members.
• Have an encounter with koalas and kangaroos
• Take a guided tour of the Heyson Home and Hans Heyson's studio
• Experience Wine tasting and cheese platter at Ngeringa Organic Winery
• Visit to the Laratinga Wetlands
• Enjoy a Devonshire morning tea and tour of historic Glenbarr

Explore Wellington, the capital of New Zealand for a couple of days before heading to phase two of the journey in Wanganui. (Hotel is included in estimated cost).

Home hosting with the FF of Manawatu/Wanganui:

Wanganui, along the southwest coast of the north island of New Zealand, boasts a vibrant arts and heritage scene, with many galleries, museums and historical buildings.

The area we will be visiting is essentially a farming district with dairying on the flatter, more fertile country, and sheep and beef cattle on the hills. 

Ambassadors will be hosted by club members living in Wanganui (pop 50,000), Palmerston North (pop 80,000) and Feilding (pop 20,000). Daily activities will depend on where the host lives. Some examples of activities available: 

• Visit robot dairy farm
• Visit museum of early European settlement, including a John Deere tractor and equipment exhibit
• Visit large Agriculture and Horticulture Science Center
• Visit universities in the area
• Paddle steamer trip (all ambassadors and their hosts)
• Additional local activities will be arranged by ambassador’s hosts
